The Thomas Food Partnership premium quiche manufacturer for ASDA, M & S, Waitrose and ASDA have made a significant investment to improve on line weight control and line efficiencies by installing 10 Aja high speed  TakeAweigh scales.

Thomas Food personnel were impressed by the quick and professional response they received from the Aja sales team.  ‘Aja really do understand weighing in our type of environment’. Thomas Food needed high quality, reliable weighing machines built for the purpose, simple to operate, very fast and accurate to optimise line speed, keep operators happy and guarantee the minimum give away and maximum yield.

Having supplied Takeaweigh scales across the UK food industry for 20 years Aja have had time to perfect the design and technology of TakeAweigh. There is simply no match for the latest DP5502NSi  Scale.

All stainless, IP66, robust design, fully mobile, superb clear weight display and under over traffic lights. Simple to set up, not fussy, or over complex, user friendly and most important very ! very  ! fast and very stable.

Over complicated systems; on line simply don’t work, Operators quite simply cannot operate them successfully and there is potential for failure through operator induced errors leading to valuable scale downtime.

In the future it is expected Thomas Food will upgrade their scales to full LAN wireless networking and can run Aja.s latest software for ingredient and operator weight optimising OPUS ‘e’. The system when installed runs blind and is controlled exclusively off line by Supervisors or Management.

Opus monitors operator performance and accuracy and in real time adjust the scale tolerances to ensure optimum weights and yield. A complete database of products and ingredients is held on the file server and down loaded to individual scales which are in turned linked to specific operators as and when required and as far as the operators are concerned the scale is the same as a normal scale. A great management tool.
