2 New Aja Multihead Weighers for Very Sticky Wet & difficult fresh food

In Jan 2008 Aja launch two new unique semi automatic multihead weighing solutions, specifically designed to address the increasing customer demand to introduce automatic weighing to replace expensive manual  portion and assembly weighing of very difficult, light, sticky and wet ingredients and raw material.

Based on established multihead combination weighing technology the Aja FASCO AWS and BWS Multiweighs incorporate unique handling and transfer systems to eliminate sticking and hanging up of product.  AWS and BWS Multiweighs now offer multihead weighing automation where previously it was not possible with traditional gravity driven multihead scales.  Compact design, portability and ease of cleaning offer further benefits for companies striving to reduce labour, guarantee accuracy and reduce waste

BWS Multiweigh
Based on a series of small self cleaning conveyor belts, raw material and ingredients are conveyed to the weigh hoppers, weighed in combination then transferred to the finished pack via a further belt conveying system. Thus guaranteeing that every part of the portion makes it into the finished pack tray. There is no where for raw material to hang up or stick during the weighing process. BWS Multiweigh is particularly suitable for very light and delicate and stringy product .

Fasco’s unique ‘Archimedes screw feeder’ system controls the raw material feed to the weigh hoppers which incorporate a ‘shutter, scrap & clean’  system designed to eliminate material loss through sticking and hanging of small pieces and finings. A truly remarkable weigher for the most difficult sticky and wet ingredients and raw material. Ideal for ready meal components, salad pot portion weighing and very sticky meat fish and poultry pieces.
